Filters and multiplexers are key devices in the wireless communication systems. The miniaturization and high selectivity of microwave devices play key roles for the performance of microwave system. High temperature superconducting(HTS) filter and multiplexer have the advantages of small size, high sensitivity, low noise and low insertion. The research of HTS microwave devices has a positive affect in the development of microwave communication.This article mainly analyzes and searches the design methods of HTS filter and multiplexer. Firstly, the paper analyzes the transfer function of the generalized Chebyshev filter, and then extracts the coupling matrix of specific topological structure. Secondly, the traditional method to design filter is reviewed, and a space mapping method based on the reflection coefficient of group delay is presented. The paper also analyzes the topology of multiplexer and the method to extract the coupling matrix of multiplexer, and a aided tool is developed to design multiplexers. In next part, the paper analyzes the miniaturization and extensibility of HTS multiplexer. In the last part, some research about dual-mode resonators is did, and the article also discuss the design method of dual-mode filer and multiplexer.
