Recently, as wireless sensor network develops, indoor location in wireless sensor network hasbecome a hot topic. In the door, the specific location of the device holder or an object often need tobe determined, but a lot of factors influence location. Improving location system and exploringmore sophisticated scheme is an important research topic at home and abroad.The thesis studies the RSSI location solution based on ZigBee technology, analyzes the systemdesign requirements and develops the system design scheme. It also designs the circuit of chips onCC2430/CC2431and RS232serial interface. The thesis implements the design of reference node,blind node and gateway node on software. The system meets the needs of indoor location. It is lowcost, low power cosumption, but there are some deficiencies as well. The indoor location systembased on ZigBee relies on reference node, vulnerable to complex environment and confines to thetwo-dimensional plane. The system also doesn’t establish the trajectory model to achieve trajectorytracking of moving object. To solve these problems, the thesis studies dead reckoning locationscheme. The scheme is analysed on system cost, complexity, reference node dependency, locationrange and location realization. The system is superior to the location system based on ZigBeetechnology. However, dead reckoning location has a shortcoming: error accumulating. Then, thethesis puts forward a new scheme-fusion location. The scheme combines ZigBee loation and deadreckoning location to make up for the shortage of the single loacation system. The indoor locationsystem can offer better indoor service for users.
