Service substitution is to replace the sub service that is faulty or can not meet user needs in thecomposite service. This area research is one of the hot issues in recent years. There is an importantsignificance for the reliable and transparent execution of composite services. Moreover, it’s veryspecial significance for the software service which aims to have excellent user experience.Particularly, with the variety of requirements from service requesters and the increasing complexityof network environments. User experience of information service systems have becomeincreasingly demanding, and service composition has become more and more complicated. So,there are some new problems to be solved in the research of service substitution. This articleaddresses the current problems with the following three aspects.First, In order to improve the efficiency of the service to replace, in this paper, the decisionfactors for cost of substitution are determined from the perspective of context-aware. On this basis,this paper proposes an decision-making model and a decision making method for substitution object(DMMSO) to determine the substitution object. Second, a composition context informationcollecting algorithm (CCICA) was proposed based on the color petri net model of the serviceworkflow, and regarded the composition context as the collecting source of service information.Third, a levenshtein distance-based service substitution method (LDBSSM) was given, which wasintegrated with dependencies between service interfaces.Finally, this paper designs and implements a simulation system of context-aware compositeservices substitution mechanism. Describes the process of running the system by example, andproves the usefulness of these methods. Moreover, the further simulation results show that theproposed LDBSSM method is practical because it can not only reduce redundancy of substitutedservice information but also effectively improve the accuracy of service substitution.
