With the development of information technology, the embedded system has become thenetworking embedded system connecting with Internet, and rapid service updating and serviceresources reusing are required in networking embedded system. Therefore, it is necessary toresearch SDP (Service Delivery Platform) in embedded system to satisfy demands of applications.Through the analysis of functionality and software system of the existing embedded networkvideo mobile terminals, problems in three aspects are summed up, including low service resourcesutilization, efficiency of service development and maintenance, and the lack of the access interfacesthat is independent of implementation of platform. To solve these problems, the technical idea ofSDP platform in the field of telecommunications is introduced to provide the rapid deployment ofservices, capability of service resources reuse, and a unified Web service interface in the embeddedsystem. Considering the issues that the constraint of resource of embedded devices and the need forflexibility and centralization of management of embedded devices, the core concept of SDN(Software Defined Networking) is introduced that is the control and data plane decoupled tocentralize the mechanism of service creation in a controller of SDN. Thus the overall system of SDPbased on SDN in embedded system is designed. And the prototype system has been implemented. The functions of prototype system of the SDP based on SDN in embedded system are tested. The result shows that the prototype system of this platform can satisfy with the expected demands, and the problems in the aspects of service management and service resource reuse can be resolvedin existing embedded system.
