With the application and development of the current mobile Internet, informationcommunications tend to face the issue of multi-interface, multi-network and multi-terminal.Aggregating the available communication resources by multiple terminals in a heterogeneousnetwork environment is becoming one of the most active topics of research in informationcommunication technology. This aggregation, however, requires some comprehensive techniquessuch as multi-path control for concurrent transmissions. This thesis focuses on the implementationtechnology, via researching multi-point wireless relaying and concurrent multi-path transmissionover intelligent terminals. A prototype by open source Android devices is discussed and the resultsof verification are presented. The thesis analyses the state of art of the intelligent terminals and wireless communicationstechnologies, including networking techniques, such as Ad hoc and/or MANET, applicable for agroup of multiple terminals. The development technology of Android is described as well. Therequirement of Multi-Point Relay (MPR) is proposed to employ Optimized Link State Routing inWi-Fi terminals. The thesis gives also an analysis of Linux kernel with Multi-Path TransmissionControl Protocol (MPTCP). Focusing on MPR and Concurrent Multi-Path Transmission ofmulti-terminal, this thesis presents the technology roadmap of Android kernel customization andverifications, including multi-interface controlling, MPTCP porting and adaptation, and flowcontrolling for MPTCP proxy. This thesis provides a description of a prototype of terminals group transmission. Four testingscenarios are used for validations, including that for MPR of group, for concurrent multi-pathtransmission, for Wi-Fi relay mixed with the fixed wire-line, and for interworking with a public3G.The experimental concurrent transmissions between two dual-interface terminals indicates twodirect transmission paths in intra-networks, and extra two paths crossing the interface of terminal tothe public3G accessing. The prototype results reveal a clear bandwidth addition and aggregationeffect.
