With the development of multimedia services like IPTV,VoD and VoIP and the popularity ofthe network, there is a significant increase in the demand of multimedia applications on the InternetThe increase of IP bandwidth and expansion of wireless network coverage make it more convenientto get a variety of multimedia services by mobile phones, laptops,IPAD and other mobile terminal. However, video streaming service providers and users still suffer from the legacy of IP network, theuncertainness of packet transmissions.Faced with these challenging factors, how to ensure the quality of experience (QoE) of theend-user according to the provided services become an urgent problem that needs to be solved bymultimedia service provider.Through the analysis and presentation of the research status of the evaluation methods aboutvideo and audio, the influence factors of QoE and the common quantitative methods andclassification of QoE,combined with wireless channel error models and QoS parameters of thenetwork layer, a modified video QoE assessment model which improvs the QoE evaluation modelof [42] is developed for video streaming service. The experimental results show that the proposedmodel is more reasonable than the model proposed by [42], and can better evaluate the video QoEvalue. With the proposed model, video service providers can pridict the acceptability of the transmittedvideo according to the transmission network performance and provide better service for end users.
