A cascade control system based on SIP protocol was implemented by studying basiccomponent and application methods of the SIP protocol and its key links and implementationmethods in monitoring system. On the network environment, the whole monitoring system iscomposed of multi-level monitoring system which from bottom to top respectively are thestation terminal system, the subsection monitoring center system and the headquartermonitoring center system.The communication process and communication format of SIP protocol was designed inthe monitoring system. Cross network transmission of monitoring information in cascadecontrol system was realized through signaling interaction of SIP protocol over a network andmedia session established between subsection monitoring center and headquarter monitoringcenter.The cascade control system based on SIP protocol was developed using Java languageprogramming technology. The station terminal system is used to monitor environment state.The subsection monitoring center system can gather equipment information of station terminalsystem and pass it to headquarter monitoring center system. The headquarter monitoringcenter system can receive equipment information of station terminal system from subsectionmonitoring center system and is able to control management those information at any time.The SIP protocol monitoring system based on network environment can give full play tothe advantage of the Internet such as wide spread, low cost and high efficiency. Comparedwith traditional monitoring system, the new system is more flexible, efficient and economic. Ithas strong compatibility, scalability, stability and robustness, and it can enhance monitoringscope and monitoring quality of the monitoring system.
