Research Of Distribution Routing Optimization Of Postal EMS

The rapid development of express delivery market makes Chinese market intenselycompetitive. Both the penetration of foreign couriers and emerge of local privateenterprise brought enormous threats and challenge to the development of Chinese postalExpress Mail Service (the postal EMS). The level of transport efficiency has a directimpaction on the postal EMS logistics abilities, the postal container trailers (the trucks),as the major equipment and its distribution efficiency will affect the efficiency of thePostal EMS; therefore, the research of the trucks route optimization will make greatsignificance on enhancing the operational efficiency of the whole distribution chain ofthe postal EMS and improving the enterprises competitiveness.This paper firstly introduced the research background, research significance of thisarticle, stated the domestic and foreign research present situation and existing problemsof the vehicle routing problem and ant colony algorithm; Secondly, setted up therelevant theoretical knowledge on logistics distribution theory and the basic vehiclerouting problem, compared all optimization method about the vehicle routing problem;Besides, discussed the basic theory and characteristrcs of ant colony algorithm andgenetic algorithm, analyzed indetail algorithm steps of the trucks routed optimizationbased on improved ant colony algorithm, and discussed systematically algorithm designof the trucks route optimization; Finally, take the China postal express logistics co.,LTD. Hebei-Handan branch (hereinafter referred to as Handan postal EMS) as anexample and optimized the trucks route using the improved ant colony algorithm,compared optimization results with those by ant colony algorithm, validated thefeasibility and effectiveness of the improved ant colony algorithm, and proposedstrategies and suggestions the trucks route optimization and Handan postal EMS.
