With the constantly boosting of "Three Network Convergence"by National policy, theuse of high definition IPTV,video monitoring contour bandwidth business demand isgrowing, making the industry circles gradually realized that the existing EPON and GPONtechnology are difficult to meet the needs of business development for a long time.Opticalaccess network in bandwidth, business support ability and access nodes equipmentfunction and performance, etc are facing a new upgrade demand, therefore puts forwardthe NGPON concept and technology.The ONU being use of NGPON network as an important composition unit needs a setof complete ONU management mode.Generally adding a new ONU unit need to alsoupdate network management and equipment software,which can support the ONU,however,thus will add to the network management and equipment development complexity.So howto management the new development of the ONU type without upgrading the networkmanagement and equipment software is the urgent problem to be solved; In this paper, theability to set management technology allows interoperability between different devices canbe achieved, to simplify the development process of the ONU, making ONU managementis more reasonable and more intelligent.with the the occupied proportion NGPON access network fiber will becomeincreasingly large, optical link failure will gradually become more and optical network isnot very mature early days, OTDR pure opticaldetection or link detection plays animportant role, but this test is difficult to distinguish the defective optical link branchaccess network; non-real-time monitoring and device cost is too high apparent opticalnetworkdefects. In this paper, network management to achieve optical link detectiontechnology combining OTDR and optical power detection two detection methods, andrelying on the OLT equipment and network management data and computing power, tomade significantly improve the quality of monitoring optical link, as network maintenancetasks to provide a complete and effective means of detection. Based on the study of NGPON network management, this paper propose keytechnologies:the capacity set management technology and optical link detection technology.These technologies can slove the actual problems in NGPON system.These techniques ofthe system at the same time to a certain extent, improve the efficiency of the network, so inthis paper, the key technology and management mode NGPON research have importantpractical significance.
