Recently, with the4G mobile communications licenses issued, a new round of construction and upgrading of communications network is around the corner. From the most basic voice services to the new Internet experience, mobile communication has been deeply into all aspects of people’s life. However, the popularity and increase of mobile applications have given the mobile communication network more and more challenges, how to meet the increasing needs of people with the limited spectrum and bandwidth resources has become a problem to the mobile operators and equipment providers.One way to solve this problem is to plan the network more reasonably. Reasonable for wireless network planning, you can reduce the construction cost of the network, and can save manpower and material resources. Wireless network planning software also can help people choose the reasonable program regulations and rational use of the limited spectrum resources to provide users with high-quality services and experience.However, with the best simulation of network planning software can simulate more and more service and the simulation area is more and more large, the network planning software encountered a bottleneck in the process of simulation:the network planning software spends more and more time to simulate and has already impacted on the network efficient planning. In order to solve the problem of slow simulation speed, the researchers introduced parallel computing techniques to accelerate the speed of calculation, and take full advantage of multi-core processor to ensure the accuracy of calculations under the premise that reduce the computation time and improve the computational efficiency. In this paper, based on the actual project which laboratory and Huawei Company cooperate with, studied the parallel computing technology in the wireless network planning platform implementation, focus on network capacity simulation technology to achieve parallelism, in which to find time-consuming hot spots and develop parallel computing software is the key point. After improved, the simulation platform has ability to process parallel simulations and has better scalability in parallel.The results can guide the development of network planning software in the future.
