Universal Mobile Telecommunications System technology of3rd Generation Partnership Project, Long Term Evolution is a project of attention of the Ultra Mobile Broadband technology and is considered as the mainstream technology of the evolution from3G to4G. It has important significance and impact to do the research on LTE system.Multiple-Input Multiple-Output is called MIMO for short. MIMO technology is a sign of LTE system. It refers that the transmitter and receiver have more than one antennas. From a broad perspective, it also includes Multiple-Input Single-Output system and Single-Input Multiple-Output system.From the beginning, we analyze the basic principle of MIMO technology, including single-user MIMO, multi-user MIMO and Multi-cell MIMO. Then, MIMO technology faces a lot of problems. We put forward solutions, such as large-scale MIMO technology. And we analyze the principles and advantages of large-scale MIMO. At last, in order to solve the pilot contamination and reduce the complexity, we study a fast channel estimation method. It is important for the development of MIMO technology. Meanwhile, we study interference cancellation in multi-cell MIMO. It can help the multi-cell MIMO.In short, by means of theoretical analysis and simulation analysis, we completed the research on large-scale MIMO. There is a certain significance for the development and the application of the technology.
