Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) shares some common feature, the various sensory nerves throughout the body is similar to a variety of different types of sensors, and the nerve fiber is similar to the communication link in WSN. In recent years, Wireless sensor networks have been applied to agriculture, industry, transport and even military fields. More and more kinds of sensors are used in the production of human work, it also means that more and more large-scale sensor wireless network coverage to the various locations of our lives. The targets tracking and detection in WSN is an emerging areas of research. Existing research mainly focuses on relatively fixed scenario, target species and quantity. There is no appropriate technical solutions for changing environment. This paper firstly described the feasibility of our research, then we introduced the existing research results (measurement model, motion model and tracking algorithm). At last, we proposed a RSS-based detection method which has online update mechanism, and introduced a sample-updating filters based on Monte Carlo method. Finally, this paper described some important experiments.
