With the development of optical communication technology, the concept of FTTP and all-optical network win support among the people. So using Automation equipment to achieve efficient and reliable network operations in the physical level becomes a cocksure choice to save manpower and improve efficiency. So the development of a new and with independent intellectual property rights of network wiring robot becomes urgent and important. Not only the robot can promote the development of China’s information industry, and it can improve work efficiency, save the manpower, and to promote the development of the domestic economy. But also can promote products in the world, occupies a space in the field of international automation equipment and information communication, narrow the gap with developed counties, improve the national influence, collect income. In this paper, according to a new theory, design of a new network wiring robot, and has carried on the research and analysis.At first, research the status of various network wiring robot at home and abroad that have been put into use. Described the research and the application background of this subject.Analysis of their advantages and disadvantages.Finally discussing the main research contents and research approaches.Secondly, discussing the details of a new network wiring principle. According to the principle and design program of mechanical design, design the modules and parts of the robot, and establish the models of them with the Solidworks.Then according to the principle of material selection, comparing commonly used materials of robot design, selecting the most compatible materials.Then, according to the finite element analysis theory, selecting the compatible software to analysis the main structure of the robot According to different requirements of different parts, analysis parts in statics analysis or modal analysis. Including simulation analysis in the software and theory analysis using classical mechanics. The results of the two methods are consistent.Finally, discuss the optimal design theory. And on the basis of finite element analysis, optimized design the main parts of the robot with the optimal design part of the finite element analysis software. And contrast the main specifications before and after optimal design, the results are satisfactory.
