Reasearch Of Digital Right Management Technology Based On Android Framework

Android-based smart terminals become popular rapidly along with the fast development of mobile Internet. However, massive high-quality digital contents were spread and shared without a cost due to the intangible nature of digital contents and the openness of Android system. Consumers’ easy and free access to various kinds of digital contents such as music, movie and e-book leads to great loss for content providers and serious strike on their production. As Android TV box has come into fashion recently, its mission of providing high-quality video service resulted in more attention for Digital Rights Management(DRM). Under this circumstance, research of DRM technology in Android device is required more than ever.In the meantime, given the special property of end device, such as its computing capability, ram storage and electricity volume, which are all quite different from PC, so we have to make a distinction between the research for Android DRM and the original DRM technique.Currently, the main problems are that, though Android Operating System has provided an abstract and flexible DRM architecture proposal, there is no elaborate specification for the architecture due to business benefits consideration. As a result, most of DRM system applied to Android are embedded within an APP, without the support of an independent Android DRM architecture. Neither was there a DRM architecture which are applicable to the DRM system for high quality video rights protection in TV box.According to these problems, this article researched the Android DRM technology supported by Google. Analysis Android DRM Framework, business processes, interface of each layer, functions in detail. Also, we realize OMA DRM V1.0to validate the result of research.At the same time, this article design and implement a TV box DRM system based on Android system, to protect the HD viedo stored it box. This system mainly include right control module, content ecryption module, streaming play module and so on.At last, we deploied the system, simulate commercial bussiness environment, and test all modules of the system, validate the feasibility of the design.
