Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) technology is one of the key techniques of LTE-Advanced systems. It is crucial to improve the system performance of LTE-Advanced. CoMP can coordinate effectively between base stations, communicate user schedule information, channel information and data information, cancel inter-cell interference and greatly improve the spectrum efficiency of cell average and cell edge user.In this paper, we first take a brief review on the history of the development of wireless communication systems. Then the features and key technology of LTE/LTE-A are introduced. In the second chapter, the implementation details of CoMP are introduced, including downlink system model, reference signal design, scheduling algorithms and precoding algorithms. The research points of this thesis can be divided into two parts. The first one is the study of non-perfect factors in real life. We first introduce the carrier frequency offset, antenna calibration error and SRS estimation error, then study their impact on CoMP technology theoretically, finally simulate and evaluate the impact. In this thesis, a user feedback based antenna calibration scheme is proposed. It can control the antenna calibration error in a reasonable range and reduce the impact of antenna calibration error on CoMP technology. The first one is based on the channel data from real life. First, we study the signal strength of cell edge users from adjacent cells in time domain and verified the practicability of CoMP in real system. Then, we evaluate the performance of cell edge users after using downlink joint transmission in frequency domain and verified the effectiveness of CoMP in real system. At last, the development prospects and of CoMP., the opportunities and challenges CoMP will face in the future are introduced. A solid theoretical foundation for future research of CoMP technology is laid in this thesis.
