Due to the rapid growth of wireless mobile communication application demand in recent years, the communication technology has to facing another round of challenge. Long Term Evolution Advance, known as LTE-A however, is a perfect solution for4G communication system, since it conforms to the trend of development of compatibility. Compared with LTE, LTE-A provides better performance on fields such as throughput, bandwidth resource utilization rant and so on, hence becomes a great concern to the communication industry, attracting a large number of R&D enthusiasm. To improving the utilization rate of throughput of wireless communication cell and bandwidth, the LTE-A system introduces a series of advanced techs, for example coordinated multi point transmission, or CoMP, multiple input multiple output, or MIMO and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, or OFDM. The basic principle of CoMP is smartly turns the inter cell interference noise into useful signal. CoMP focuses on users located at the edge area of a cell, aims at cell-edge users’communication quality assurance.The paper derived from the project cooperated by author’s laboratory and companies, which the author is involved. The realization of the system’s simulation is completed by constructing LTE-A system simulation platform equipped with CoMP joint transmission function. Firstly, the basic concepts of LTE-A system will be elaborated in this paper, mainly including physical resource module structure, uplink and downlink processes, and LTE-A network architecture, together with analyzing the OFDM, SC-FDMA and MIMO principle, and discusses the wireless channel model, as well as CoMP’s principle and classification. Then, with the spectrum utilization and throughput as the main reference index, the performance of system, with or without CoMP, is compared. At last, the issue of CoMP spectrum resource reservation is discussed.The innovation of this paper is that the strategy of CoMP static diversity band resource reservation under LTE-A system is changed. In the end of the paper, the performance of improved CoMP static resource reservation scheme is compared with that of the existing schemes. The results are consistent with theoretical inference, proving that the improvement really can make a difference, and at the same time, interference among set of collaboration is avoided.
