Research On Social Network Structure Of Construction-agent Projects And Impact On The Project Cooperation

The construction-agent projects realize the stripping of four functions of governmentinvestment projects “investment, construction, management, use”, and they solve manyproblems from an institutional aspect including the low project management level in the fieldof government investment, severe waste of investment, frequent corruption of public officialsand other issues. They also play an important role in improving project management level andinvestment benefit of government capital, inhibiting investment out of control from the source,strengthening the construction of a corruption free government and other aspects.However, the construction-agent projects encounter a lot of resistance in the process ofactual implementation. The reasons why they are plagued include the unreasonable design oflocalization system and complex organization relationship of construction-agent projects.Both of them lead to the unstable cooperative status among the stakeholders of agentconstruction projects. And in view of implementation difficulties of construction-agentprojects, the existing studies are almost to adopt the normal form of binary relation analysisaccording to the objectively existing principal-agent relationship in projects, and the researchfocuses on the relationship between the two project stakeholders of the construction-agentprojects but neglects the complex relational networks among stakeholders of theconstruction-agent projects. This kind of research perspective plays an important role insolving the problems of entrusted agents, but in the face of the complex relational networks ofconstruction-agent projects stakeholders, the binary relation analysis model is difficult toeffectively find the problems existing in the networks and propose the correspondingsolutions to the problems. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the research paradigmaccording to the multiple network relations and structures.On account of these, this study introduces the method of social network analysis (SNA).It selects an construction-agent project as a case sample, and constructs multi-dimensionalcomplex social network model and one-dimensional social network model of cooperativerelationship of agent construction projects stakeholders. Through the analysis of a variety ofcooperative relationship network structures and the corresponding project cooperationrelations among stakeholders of agent construction projects, the study points out the path ofimproving the cooperative relationship of construction-agent projects. The main researchcontent includes the two following aspects:(1) The collection of social network data of agent construction projectsThe way of data collection which the study adopts is snow balling, and the studycombines the questionnaire survey to collect the cooperative relationship data ofconstruction-agent projects, using the social network analysis software UCINET6.212to buildthe visualization model of multi-dimensional complex social network and visualization modelof one-dimensional social network of agent construction projects. (2) Building the social network model of construction-agent projectsIn allusion to the multi-dimensional complex social network model and one-dimensionalsocial network model of construction-agent projects, the study respectively analyzes therelevant indexes such as network density, centricity, clique and so on. Finally, based on theperspectives of multi-dimensional complex social network and one-dimensional socialnetwork of construction-agent Projects, the study proposes suggestions to improve thecooperation of construction-agent Projects.
