With the development of X-ray and digital image processing technology, the X-rayimaging technology not only get popular in the industrial and medical fields, but also be usedin the field of security widely. The X-ray security images provides various forms of objecttransmission image for security staff,which become the reliable basis for Security staff todetect dangerous goods. Thus make the security work more convenient.Firstly, according to X-ray machine imaging principle,this paper research on thedual-energy X-ray security systems, analyses and summary the processing method oftraditional X-ray security image. According to the imaging characteristics of the securityimage, the author proposes a security image segmentation method, this method combineK-means and regional growth, which could separate the organic, inorganic, and mixturesthereof from security image.For the contraband detection problem, this paper analyzed the difficulties of contrabanddetection and the limitations of current detection methods, propose a image matching methodwhich base on security image feature points. This method can take different matching strategyat different stages in the process of matching, and take full advantage of the gray and cornerlocation information in image; it shorten the running time and ensured accuracy by usingcorrelation testing.Finally, the author achieve Gray-scale transformation, geometric transformations, imagedenoising and image segmentation by programming with Visual C++,compare and analysesthe effect of each method of handling security image.
