In this paper that based on the Digital Image Processing, we use some signal processing and computer vision's viewpoints to deal with the archaic epigraph image, we analyze many archaic epigraph images, for different kinds of archaic epigraph images, we provide different arithmetic to solve it.In our research range, we simple classify the archaic epigraph images based on its characters, there are 2 patterns, the first is normally font on behalf of Kaishu, the other is on behalf of CaoShu font. On the other way we classify the archaic epigraph images based on the image quality. It also has two patterns, one for better, another is for the worse.In this paper, for the archaic epigraph images with the better quality,the traditional arithmetic is enough to deal with; for the archaic epigraph images with the better worse, we propose the adaptive sub block segmentation arithmetic to deal the worse image, and propose the kinds of image fusion arithmetic to enhance the image quality and extract the image edge. By test, these arithmetic is useful. In the paper we also research rubbing archaic epigraph images, propose a appropriate arithmetic to filter the noise.
