Using current CAD software can quickly resume parts model. It is a tedious, repetitive workwhen the number of parts is numerous and some of these series of parts often need to bemodified or replaced. CAD software second development is needed to solve these problems.Corresponding function of the software or plug-in is written. Pro/Toolkit module has a lot ofstandard C language function calls for developers. The design work can be almost completedwith these functions. According to the special need to design a special procedure, using VCdesign the human interface, complete the corresponding function with these functions. Seconddevelopment makes complex and tedious work simple, model modification and performanceanalysis test can also become simple. It is beneficial for enterprises and users for thedevelopment cycle is shorten and the cost of research and development is reduced. Therefore, theuse of Pro/E for secondary development to develop parametric modeling design system is verynecessary.What the paper does is the core module of the digital design of biomass curing equipmentwhich has three parts including parametric design of ring mode, pressure roller and thedetermination of ring mode line velocity determination. An asynchronous Pro/Toolkit program isdeveloped using VC++6.0. There-dimensional model of ring mode and stick is designed in Pro/E,and then make the model parametric. Asynchronous VC++friendly interface program (. Exe) isprogrammed by VC++6.0. Three-dimensional parameters of ring mold and pressure roller modelis set and modified in the asynchronous procedure dialog program. The new correspondingmodel is generated and showed in the new Pro/E form by calling Pro/Toolkit functionsconnecting to Pro/E program. It is very convenient to modify, debug and analysis the model. Theother part of the program is the determination of ring mode line velocity. The curve of ring linevelocity is drawn by calling VC++drawing functions according to each integer coordinates ofthe function which is calculated by the correlation function of the ring mode line velocity and thegiven parameters.
