As an important mode of transportation, the railway transportation isplays an irreplaceable role in people’s production and life.As the EMU speedgoes faster,the precision standard of the spare parts gets higher andhigher.Wheel is a connection of the high-speed train and tracks,it is carrying theweight of the whole train,so the Axle is the key components of the high-speedtrain affect the safety.According to the axle size in processing and assemblyprocess of online measurement and detection problem,This paper presents anew machine vision measurement method based on line structure light,used forthe measurement the diameter of high-speed train Axle.Paper based on machine vision measurement technology and structure lightmeasurement technology of in-depth research and analysis, combining thecharacteristics of the target--the Axle,Based on laser triangulation principle ofdouble line structured light vision measurement method to implement the highspeed train axle size measurement. The measurement system mainly consists ofa CCD camera,line structured light lasers,image acquisition card and computer.By a laser projector to projected onto the axle, line structure light plane and theaxle surface intersection form the light stripes,CCD camera photograph thelight stripes to obtain the information of the axle, by analysis and processing todetermine its spatial position information, and finally calculated by thecharacteristic dimension measured axle fitting.Paper use the camera perspective imaging model and the laser projectorlight plane equation to establish a model of measurement,Through thesimulation method on the influencing factors of system measurement precisionare analyzed;Through an algorithm for camera calibration parameters are optimized, By the method of back to the camera parameters optimizationcalibration results are verified; the use of planar target for the laser projectorline structured light plane equation parameters were optimized calibration;operator method for camera parameter calibration feature points by Harris wereextracted by Hessian matrix method for feature extraction for accurate lightstrip center.Finally, Papers use visual measurement method for high speed train axlemeasurement experiment,the experimental results show that the visualmeasurement method has the high feasibility and stability,measurementaccuracy can meet the measurement requirements.
