China’s large-scale power generation groups, especially central and state-owned ones, have distinct Chinese characteristics, often featured by having huge organizational structure and numerous subordinate units. Meanwhile, many large-scale power generation groups have a wide coverage of subordinate units, with their presence deployed from the eastern coast to the western inland and from bustling cities to untraversed desert, depending on their business. Therefore, it is extremely difficult for these enterprises to achieve a group-wide efficient office management process. After entering this century, information technology has been developing by leaps and bounds. With continuous improvement of information systems and popularity of the Internet, web-based office management systems are gradually being accepted by enterprises, and play a key role in enhancing the efficiency of enterprise management.The main contents of this thesis include:(1) Comprehensively analyzing the current situation of domestic and international research on office management systems;introducing the system structure, key technologies and business models of office management systems of power generation groups; through market research, analyzing and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of various office management system products available on the market today; and analyzing and describing key technologies for system applications.(2) Analyzing the demand for office management systems of power generation groups; describing the design goals and functional and performance requirements of the system; based on this designing the overall architecture and workflow of the system; based on this designing in detail and implementing the large-scale centralized office management system of power generation groups. This system includes5parts: information portal subsystem; official document exchange subsystem; personal office subsystem, information sharing subsystem; and group three-level system management subsystem. The information portal subsystem is the display platform for the enterprise to release the information. The official document exchange subsystem is the channel for uploading and downloading official documents inside the enterprise. The personal office subsystem is the user’s daily electronic office platform. The information sharing subsystem is the platform for releasing and sharing internal information of the enterprise. The group three-level system management subsystem underpins the operation management of the whole system.(3) Describing the practical application situations of the system; testing and demonstrating the actual operation effects of the system; and verifying the validity of the system.This thesis designs and implements an "office management system for domestic power generation groups". In order to realize system functions, this system uses a combination of attempts in multi-organizational management, cross-unit business logic approval and B/S architecture large-scale centralized deployment models. In this way, it not only realizes hierarchical management of various units under the group organization, but also saves cost accounting by means of large-scale centralized deployment. Meanwhile, the electronic applications based on cross-unit business logic approval improve the overall office efficiency of power generation groups, and provide effective technical support for domestic power generation groups to, based on the large-scale centralized office management system, try to realize the management goals of standardized management, efficiency improvement and cost decreasing and benefit increasing.
