The Study And Design Of The Network Information Base Of The Software Defined Network

Software defined network (SDN), as a kind of brand-new network architecture, is developing rapidly after it was put forward.Domestic and international mainstream network vendors have joined the research of SDN. Software defined network put forward network control and separation, and can be directly used for network programming. A short span of time, it has attracted wide attention from academia and industry and so on. After the separation of control and forward, there should been a place which contains the whole network information after the abstraction of the network, called network information base (for short NIB).With the development of the network, the number of service and configuration time of the computer network is becoming more and more complex now.While, there is more and more demanding for the software defined network and network database. Although there are many existing data models, these data models are aimed at a single equipment design, they are not very fit for the NIB. Therefore, it is necessary to design a network database model for SDN. In addition, the current research of network database is relatively small, while, the NIB is very important in the whole framework, and NIB has a close relationship with several other modules.In this paper, by the study of the present situation and the existing technology, the main work is as follows:1.This paper has designed the NIB model,OpenNML,in software defined network. This article has analysed and studied the existing overview of the controller, north to interface and Openflow in SDN, and summarized the need of NIB. This paper put forward the OpenNML model, after analysing the existing data modeling techniques and understanding the present situation and their deficiencies by comparing the current existing technology.Furthermore, It introduces the framework and relationships of each module in detail.2. This paper has finished the realization of NIB OpenNML model., According to the design scheme for OpenNML model, combined with the existing technology, this paper gives the specific implementation and introduces the model implementation framework, physical storage and language module in detail. Finally, this article selects the common two scenarios and shows it to the readers,from the network topology configuration, the script generated to the database storage.
