Research On Information Retrieval Language Under The Conditions Of Network

Nowadays, the network information search tools are mainly of two kinds: list-based search engines and words-based search engines. Some famous browse network information search tools, such as Yahoo, Excite, Galaxy and most comprehensive search tools actually draw lessons from the idea of organizing and revealing information by traditional information retrieval language consciously or unconsciously. For example, Askjeeves is a kind of nature language search engines. After reformed for adapting to network, the traditional retrieval language can become the most important and efficient way to organizing Internet information resources for the present and future period. It can still supply language guarantee for Internet information retrieval.The artificial language formed under the conditions of the hand retrieval and the machine retrieval has become mature in organization and retrieval. We must solve the problem how to combine natural language and artificial language when we talk about organizing and retrieving Internet information resources. Used for organizing and retrieving Internet information, the combination of the natural language and the artificial language should be the developing direction to the future information retrieval language. The author wants to look forward to the latest trend of development in this field by studying the theoretic and practical achievement in information retrieval language both at home and abroad in the time of Internet.This paper is made up of five parts. The first part analyses the effects of information retrieval language in network condition; the second part introduces the achievements in electronic traditional Classification and the using of traditional Classification in network and in information retrieval tool; the third part introduces the achievements in electronic traditional Subject and the using of traditional Subject in network and in information retrieval tool; the forth part is about natural language processing and natural language retrieval which includes basic principles of natural language processing and the using of information retrieval ; finally, the author points out that the new development of information retrieval language includes Metadata and the integration of the Classification-Subject- Natural language.
