With the rapid development of the Internet, the Internet has become an indispensable infrastructure in less than forty years. However, the initial design did not consider the fact that the scale of the Internet would become so large at present, the Internet has exposed many drawbacks under heavy pressure, and therefore Software Defined Network (SDN) is proposed. However, the SDN network cannot completely replace the traditional network during a long time, we will have to deal with the coexistence and communication problems between SDN network and traditional network. Therefore, research on how to provide routing service in the SDN network is of great significance. This thesis was based on the project of "Advanced Routing Component Integrated in SDN Controller" from the cooperation between Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. This thesis designs and implements a network virtualization component based on SDN, the purpose of which is to provide routing service in SDN network. In this thesis, a brief introduction to the SDN technology is given at the beginning, including relevant research, traditional routing technology, and current research on routing component technology. Next, overall design and working process of the network virtualization system based on SDN is described, which focuses on the four major functions of the network virtualization component based on SDN, and detailed design and implementation of each function. The functions of the network virtualization component include handling OpenFlow events, translating the routing information into the flow table information and sending it to the OpenFlow switch, and maintaining the mapping relationship between the OpenFlow switch and virtual router. Finally, this thesis designs a variety of scenes and builds the environment for the functional test and feasibility test of the network virtualization component.
