Heterogeneous networks have provided a novel idea and technical solution to solve the problem of dramatic increasing mobile data traffic, but also created new problems. The interference environment in heterogeneous networks becomes more complex compared to traditional networking. In addition, problems that reducing the impact on the environment to achieve green communication must be resolved.Firstly, this paper analyzes the traditional interference coordination technology solutions, based on which we propose a joint interference coordination scheme. And we analysis and research the proposed scheme through system simulation. Secondly, we extend traditional power model of base station and establish the function model of system energy efficiency. Finally, we assess the energy efficiency of different interference coordination schemes based on the function model we proposed. The main contents of this paper include: 1. Analysis the time domain eICIC and CoMP-JT in heterogeneous networks and performance of the two technologies are evaluated and verified through system-level simulation.2. Based on the eICIC, a joint interference coordination scheme namely eICIC-CoMP is proposed, which proved to promote the system throughput effectively compared to eICIC.3. Extend the traditional power model of base station in heterogeneous networks and introduce backhaul power model. And on this basis, energy efficiency of eICIC and eICIC-CoMP is evaluated and verified through system-level simulation.
