Nowadays, with the rapid growth of mobile data traffic, macro network confronts with huge traffic pressure, but traditional indoor coverage is difficult to meet the demand because of the poor transmission environment. So the Small Cell is proposed to let researchers see the dawn to solve the existing problems. In the area where MeNB cannot cover but provides enough fixed bandwidth, Small Cell can provide4G service, which meets the requirement of supplement communications network, as a result, it can obviously save investment and alleviate the pressure of the macro network capacity. Therefore, the proposition and application of Small Cell are significant in the LTE-Advanced system.However, in the LTE-Advanced system, the application of Small Cell increases the energy loss in communication network system and the intra-cell and inter-cell interference, which degrades the communication quality of MUE inevitably. How to lower the system energy loss and interference in the premise of giving full play to advantages of Small Cell system should be concern when Small Cell system is introduced into modern communication networks. Based on the background above, this paper focus on Small Cell power control, which will reduce energy loss and eliminate the interference in the communication system. The main content includes:First, deeply analyze Small Cell on/off technology. By reasonably apply the original technology of Small Cell on/off, Small Cell (SeNB) power control can be implemented by turning on/off the Small Cell in this paper, which designs the details of signaling interaction process and the standard of time delay. With the ideal mentioned above, the purpose of reducing the SeNB power consumption and the interference in the communication system can be achieved in this paper.Secondly, this paper designs the method of Small Cell power control based on convex optimization and water-filling patten, which based on power control algorithm of making full use of and reasonably allocating maximum SeNB transmit power in references. This method does compromise between lowering SeNB transmission power and improving SUE average throughput performance for reducing SeNB power consumption and interference.Finally, in order to compensate for the defect in the method of Small Cell power control based on convex optimization and water-filling patten, this paper proposes a method of Small Cell power control based on interior point method. This strstegie is the method getting and reasonably allocating minimum SeNB transmit power in the premise of each SUE achieving each requested transfer rate in communication system, which achieves the purpose of reducing the SeNB power consumption and the interference in the communication system.In the premise of making full use of the advantage of Small Cell system, by reducing SeNB energy consumption and interference, Small Cell on/off mechanism and Small Cell power control methods can assist to achieve the purpose of improving system throughput and meeting the UE communication demand. The application of Small Cell system is beneficial to further improvement of the communication system.
