Now the practical telecommunication network is evolved from the Second/Third Generation (2G/3G) to the long term evolution (LTE) network. In order to provide customers with stable and reliable multimedia business, since2007domestic industry started the research on IMS. IMS network can carry a variety of service types. The important application services are VoLTE and RCS. The2G/3G and LTE network are coexistence and users do not want to change their phone numbers. And it is better to provide users with more types of service and better quality of service. Using the VoLTE and RCS services, when we don’t change user phone number there would be failure in the transmission and degrading in quality of business. So sharing number scheme considered business diversity is an important problem to be solved.In this paper, we describe the features of IMS architecture. Based on the previous research results, this paper proposes a sharing number scheme with business domain selection. The propsed scheme focuses on the specific routing process. In order to ensure the quality of service, we also propose an improved sharing number algorithm. In addition, we implement the open interface and modify the Cx, Sh interface in the open source project and set up the IMS simulation system. We carry out the traffic performance test and algorithm simulation based on the platform. The main works are as follows:First, we summarize the whole architecture of IMS, and then introduce the main functions of the IMS network elements and SIP protocol etc. We generalize the characteristics of VoLTE and RCS business, summarize the technical solutions, analyze the registration and call signaling process and classify the scheme of the sharing number.Secondly, we propose a scheme of sharing number with service domain selection. We add a business tag to change the information stored in the user database, and then determine the final routing with the service type. Considering the service type, registration and policy, we also put forward an improved sharing number algorithm to ensure the quality of the service. With the packages got by Wireshark we analyze the signaling processes. The simulation results show that with the scheme of sharing number, call delay and packet loss rate have been improved.Thirdly, with the Open IMS Core source project we set up the IMS simulation platform. The existed modules are modified. In order to finish the service domain selection, we redefine the information stored in the database, add some functions to the Cx、Sh interface and complete the signal processing. Using a Restful framework to design and implement business interface, it makes a better assurance of IMS business diversity.
