The embedded monitoring device not only have been used to getting and monitor data in factory production, but also have been used to displaying and drawing the data-window. However, in the traditional embedded GUI system, It is not satisfied with the need of production that drawing simply2D display with point and line. So this paper analysis of the soft and hardware character of the monitoring device, explored and implemented a graphics library inner device. Based on the library, improving and optimizing the graphic display system. By the way, it improved the drawing effect and advanced the ability of drawing in the GUI system.As is known to all, monitoring device used the Linux as the operating system while it is just a core of multitasking, it not have the GUI system. If system wanted to display the window, it need to transplant the third library. In this paper, the research did not use the traditional GUI scheme, while came up with the scheme of GTK+OpenGL. The major content as followed: 1.By the analysis of the structure character of soft and hardware module, coming up with the scheme of GTK+OpenGL. Research explain the difficult of scheme, at same time introduce the way to solve the question. In the scheme, GTK used to drawing window, OpenGL used to define the bottom graphic library.2.According to the standard of OpenGL, designed and realized the bottom graphic library in monitor software system.3.Based on the library, optimizing the monitor displaying window, such as the hydraulic and temperature displaying.4.Designing the hardware circuit of device with the ARM processor, installing the software module to monitor device.By observe the display of system, obtained the conclusion witch it can improve and optimize the GUI system by using the scheme of GTK+OpenGL. By the way, the device drawing capability was much enhanced, and the display of graphic effect was improve primely. At all, summary the shortage of the paper and looked forward to the next step work.
