MAC layer multi-channel power control protocol for Ad Hoc network, using the maximum power in the control channel to interactive control information, the minimum power in the data channel to transmit data information. The distances between different communication nodes are quite different, easy to generate asymmetrical link, increase the likelihood of collisions, and impact the throughput.Multichannel mechanism alleviate the limitation of Ad Hoc network channel resources by divide the channel; power control mechanism aims to improve the network throughput, reduce energy consumption via reduce the area of the collision domain to improve the spatial reuse. The combination of multichannel and power control can take full advantages of those two kinds of mechanism and improve the network performance to the maximum. CCAPC, a channel allocation combined with power control MAC layer protocol, is proposed to select the appropriate data channel to transmit data information according to the minimum bidding power. In this protocol the selection of data channel is dependent on the magnitude relationship between the minimum bidding power of communication and all neighbor nodes contracting power, thus smaller power transmission and larger power transmission will be allocated to different channels to mitigate the effects of asymmetric links. When a node’s transmission power in a channel is small while the CTS frame is still sent in maximum power, the coverage of CTS is greater than the interference range of this node in this channel thus affecting the spatial reuse of the channel. By comparing CTS frame received power and a certain threshold value neighbor node determine whether itself is in the interference range of the receiving node in the channel then to determine whether to update the back-off time.According to the wireless signal fading model and the theoretical basis for wireless signal correct reception threshold we know theoretically that CCAPC protocol can reduce the number of collisions. Example Analysis verified that in the same network scene CCAPC protocol can achieve single-channel parallel transmission of data and compared with the DCA-PC protocol. Experimental results on NS2simulation platform show that comparing with DCA-PC protocol this protocol can improve network throughput and reduce packet loss rate and the energy consumed when producing a unit of throughput.
