Wireless Sensor Network is a new monitoring network with broad applicationprospects, and it becomes a hot topic in the research field. Due to the characteristic thatthe energy supply is limited in WSN, reducing network energy consumption has becomethe primary task. Power control is a necessary way to reduce the energy consumption.Network capacity is an important performance of wireless sensor network, and it can beincreased by controlling transmitting power. However, the network interference increasesday by day. The advantages of low energy consumption and other network performanceare gradually weakened. As we all know, channel allocation can reasonably distribute theinterference communication data, and it can improve the communication efficiency.Network lifetime is an important indicator to reflect network quality. Then energybalance has become the research emphasis in WSN. Therefore, we research the powercontrol and channel assignment for performance optimization of WSN. And the researchhas some theoretical and scientific significance. The detailed research work in this articleis as follows:(1) We study the related infrastructure of link capacity, interference model and gametheory. The influence factors of link capacity and the deficiency of interference model isanalyzed. The interference from the node to other links is made as the cost function. Thenwe have designed a power control algorithm for capacity. According to theoreticalanalysis, we have demonstrated Nash Equilibrium existence and uniqueness of the powercontrol game model for capacity. The algorithm has large capacity and low interference.(2) To solve the problem that network interference increases day by day, weconsider the channel allocation technology. Combining with network capacity, SINR andinterference, we have built the joint power and channel optimization game model forcapacity. Based on this model, a joint power and channel optimization algorithm forcapacity is proposed. The algorithm gives full consideration to the characteristic of bothindependence and interdependence between power control and channel allocation. Thealgorithm can converge to Nash Equilibrium, and it can be proved by supermodel game theory. Simulation results show that the algorithm has improved the network capacity, and has reduced network energy consumption.(3) To solve the problem that the uneven network energy consumption may lead toone node premature death because of energy depletion, we take the node remainingenergy as the parameter. And we have constructed the joint power and channeloptimization game model based on energy balance. It is demonstrated that the gamemodel exists Nash Equilibrium by using the Ordinal Potential Game. On the basis of themodel, we design the joint power and channel optimization algorithm based on energybalance. Finally simulation results show that the algorithm has balanced the energyconsumption, and has prolonged the network lifetime.
