With the further development of the Internet, people become more and more relied on Web application software, thus the Web application software reliability problem is more and more remarkable. Related researches show that software aging phenomenon exists in Web application software and causes a certain threat to the Web application software reliability. Scholars at home and abroad have conducted a series of studies of Web application software aging. There are tow main methods applied to the study of the Web application software aging:time-based method and measurement-based method. Both of the methods need to analyse the Web application software performance indicators, so it is necessary to design a performance monitoring tool specifically for the Web application software aging study which provides accurate and meaningful data. Under this background, this paper designs and implements a performacnce monitoring tool oriented to Web application sofrware aging.The main work this paper has done are as follows:(1) The performance indicators which the performance monitor tool oriented to Web application software aging needs to monitor are analyzed and the frame of the performance monitor tool is proposed.(2) This page selects indicator system from the factors affecting the Web application software aging using grey relationship analysis and evaluates the Web application software degree with multifactorial comprehensive evaluation.(3) In order to study the user visiting rules of Web application software over time, a new indicator called Web application software online user season index is defined, and this paper states the method to compute this indicator.(4) A method which can recognize web application software aging defectis is proposed. This method recognizes the web page which may exist aging defect by computing the correlation of the Web page hits and the growth of the Web application software aging degree.(5) This page implements the performance monitor tool oriented to Web application software aging by Java. The experiment shows that the performance monitor tool oriented to Web application software aging that this paper has designed can provide meaningful data for the study of the Web application software aging and lay a foundation for further research of the Web application software aging prediction and restore.
