Research And Implementation Of Android RIL Based On Cortex-A8

Today, with the rapid development of mobile Internet and embedded technology, our life hasbeen greatly influenced. With the emergence of Android system, the prosperity of embeddedtechnology has been accelerated more than ever. The mobile intelligent terminal which based onAndroid system has begun to enter our daily lives rapidly, and has brought great convenience.Meanwhile, it also gives birth to a large amount of developers of Android system. In the developingprocess of Android system, RIL (radio interface layer) layer development is particularly important.In the aim of this situation, this thesis focuses on the design philosophy and implementationmechanism of RIL layer, and realizes the network function of intelligent terminal based onCortex-A8architecture. It has valuable reference.The design uses a processor chip named TCC8801, and on this platform it transplantsBootloaer and Linux Kernel, makes the root file system. Ultimately, to establish a developingenvironment of embedded system. Based on this, it also realized the transplantation of RIL aimingat LongSun U6300V wireless communication module. Finally, it complete the network function ofmodule on the platform of Android. In the process of transplanting RIL, the dialing process hasbeen achieved in the file of Reference-ril rather than in Application layer like always.In the research of Android RIL, this thesis firstly briefs the architecture of Android RIL andthen introduces the implementation mechanism and the relationship among RILD, Libril andReference-ril. It also introduces the monitoring operation and the initialization of ril_event event.Finally it introduces the message processing process of the Request and Response from the overallview.In the end, test and verify the network function of3g for Android system and analyze thesystem log of RIL layer, especially introduce the data flow of the system in detail. It is helpful todebugging and troubleshooting for system during the developing process.
