With the development of IoT(Internet of Thing), IoT devices, IoT services andIoT users will increase fast. How to connect these parts is the main function of IoTplatform. An opening IoT platform needs to unify the management andimplementation of services which running on it. And how to make full use of IoTservices to satisfy the demand of users is the most important thing we need to do now.Service composition is a good way to make the full use of IoT service.In this paper, in order to provide service composition function in IoT platform,we firstly analysis the basic structure and the use of the internet of things in differentareas, and then we studied an IoT system architecture which supports the compositionof services. We use XML to describe IoT businesses which lays the foundation ofservice composition and use petri net to model the single service and four basicstructures of composition, which provide the theoretical method to analysis thecomposition and put forward the way to generate XML documents from petri netmodel. In this paper, we give the detailed step of combining the services QoSattributes with ant colony algorithm to select the best service participating thecomposition.In the implementation of the platform, we presented the detailed design ofcomposition modules. Especially we give the detailed design of the client of platform,presentation layer and support layer. According to the implementation results, thedesign of platform composition can provide excellent support for the servicecomposition function.
