In this dissertation, the issue of how to organize and manage the software testingactivity is researched, and a software testing system core framework based on the researchresults is initiatively built up. The innovations and contributions of this dissertation can besummarized as below.By analyzing the traditional software development models and traditional softwaretesting models as well as the latest Scrum-based software testing model and gettinginspired by testing work experience, a methodology is researched in this dissertationproposing that software development activity and software testing activity should bemanaged in a same system, which is different from the currently being usedmulti-management-system methodology and situation.The software testing system core framework built-up based on this new methodologyenables the management of test case and software defect and other data to be achievedwithin a same system, which resolves the weakness of connections in data if multiplemanagement systems are used, and also reduces the maintenance workload for themanagement systems.Enabling the tracking and monitoring of every Dev and every QA’s work byintroducing a task-driven management approach, by doing this, this new managementsystem can provide the product or the project manager a real-time transparency into projecthealth analysis at various angles, which helps the managers recognize and control projectrisks.Communication efficiency between Dev and QA teams is improved by adapting thisnew management system, which is done by monitoring the status changes of each singletask and sending out a notification email to the stakeholders so that they get an insight intothe task progress and get prepared for next level task execution in advance.The software testing management system implementation involves techniques such asASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET Entity Framework as well as the open-sourced jQuery JavaScript library.
