In the rapid socio-economic development, improving people’s quality of life, whilepeople are eager to more comfortable, convenient and intelligent ways of working,which also smart and convenient office has also put forward higher requirements.As theworkplace continues to standardization, smart attendance began to slip, which requiresthe attendance office has faster, more convenient and more accurate. By administrativestaff employees named, sign the attendance of traditional statistical methods can notmeet the modern workplace fast, efficient and demand.Today, facial feature has been used as the identity of the labels used to distinguishbetween different people, face recognition technology is part of the field of biometricidentification technology, is still a hot research field of computer technology.In this paper, design and research on face recognition based time and attendancesystem embedded. After presentation of the current situation in different ways andattendance face recognition technology at home and abroad, the first embedded facerecognition time attendance system functional requirements analysis, selected on thebasis of a linux system design, carried out the system hardware the overall design,according to the hardware design diagram, conducted a chip select, draw schematics.Then introduced the face recognition related algorithms, AdaBoost algorithm and PCAalgorithm. Finally, a built linux system design face recognition time attendance system.
