In recent years, with the rapid development of wireless communication industry, the shortage of spectrum resources is becoming increasingly prominent. Meanwhile, with the diversity, intelligent and wide-oriented development of communication terminals, the power consumption of personal mobile devices is becoming increasingly severe. How to improve the spectral efficiency of the communication system, while reducing the energy consumption, is more and more important.Here we study the cognitive radio technologies with energy harvesting. In cognitive radio networks, spectrum sharing can improve the spectrum utilization. Energy harvesting technology can extract energy from the noise and interference surroundings for energy supply of cognitive radio systems. Therefore, cognitive radio technologies with energy harvesting, is the key solution of the shortage of spectrum and energy resources.This paper introduces the concept and the key technology of cognitive radio and energy harvesting. Here we study the resource allocation strategy among three time segments (energy harvesting, spectrum sensing and data transmitting). Firstly, we proposed a static resources allocation strategy, optimizing the save-ratio and number of sensed channels. Secondly, two dynamic resource allocation strategies are proposed, which can make decision adaptive to the changes of the environment and effectively improve the achievable throughput.
