In recent years, wireless sensor networks(WSN) has become a hot topic in the field of information technology, which combines technology sensors, signal and information processing, computer science, communications and other high-tech fields. In the field of wireless sensor network research, the routing technology is its core technology, one of the key factors affecting the performance of the entire network, traditional wireless sensor network routing protocols they use to deterministic routing, This routing technology is ported from a wired network, Due to the wireless sensor networks has dynamic, time-varying, loss and other characteristics, there will be a variety of drawbacks. Opportunistic routing, using of the broadcast nature of wireless channel, greatly improves the reliability of the transmission network and end to end throughput. But the typical opportunistic routing do not too much to consider the issue of energy, making the network protocol in wireless sensor networks defective. In this paper, based on the characteristics of wireless sensor networks and study of the opportunistic routing protocol, I propose a new opportunistic routing protocol--ratio opportunistic routing (RTOR), the routing protocol to fully consider the energy consumption of sensor nodes and node residual energy, that is, considering the energy parameter as a measure of a factor in the opportunity to measure the use of routing protocols, combined with the shortest path routing ETX to measure metrics, and the importance of remaining energy in the node to provide a measure of the proportion of the value of the right, according to use the environment to determine the size of the ratio proportion of such networks in the transmission reliability and throughput to meet the situation, try to extend the life of the network. Finally, Using the NS-2simulation software to achieve RTOR protocol simulation. Compared with EXOR, RTOR protocol has better energy efficiency, thereby extending the life of the network.
