3rd Party Software Test Process Improvement And Application Based On TMMI

As people have more and more requirements for software products, this promotes the scale and complexity of software becomes higher. It’s more difficult to improve the software quality because people have more demands. Software testing as a key factor in the process of software product has become an increasingly important part. Test Maturity Model Integration (referred TMMI) has been widely used to help software development and testing organization to assess and improve their testing process, level and quality. TMMI reference model guides organization improves their testing process and quality through a series of testing recommended practice in each maturity level. Third party independent software testing companies becomes more as the growing popularity with international. It generates testing process improvement needs for third-party software testing company.The main work of this thesis includes:1) The background and significance of the software testing process improvement are researched. Then the development history of testing maturity model is analyzed, and several testing maturity models which are widely used in the world are discussed. The TMMI (Testing Maturity Model Integration) structure is focused, including the representation and hierarchical framework.2) The3rd party software testing process improvement program based on TMMI is proposed. The overall framework and hierarchical structure of the program are discussed and several important key areas and test strategy are elaborated.3) The application effect of3rd party software testing process improvement is introduced and analyzed combined with the actual project.
