Coupled with the growing of urban economy, there has been an increasingnumber star hotels, grand shopping malls and sports stadiums in cities, whosebuilding areas usually exceed tens of thousands of square meters. Besides, thesebuildings frequently use the steel reinforced concrete as their framework, with theexterior decoration sealed off. The complicated indoor environment hugely goesagainst the coverage of wireless signals, causing the low quality of connection.Meanwhile, the gradually higher demand of customers for better quality of mobilecommunication requires not only favorable outdoor but also superior indoorcommunication service. Therefore, it is highly imperative to deal with the issue ofdeep coverage of key locations.The most effective way to tackle the problem of deep coverage in buildings is toconstruct the indoor coverage system, which chiefly consists of signal source andcompartment system. The construction could efficiently enhance the indoorcommunication quality as well as increase the call completing rate. Moreover, theusage of micro-cellular system is able to share the task of outdoor macro-cellularcalling and expends the network capacity so as to wholly improve the service ofmobile network.Combined with the introduction of the development tendency and classification,this paper primarily focuses on the design and optimization of the indoor distributionsystem. In addition, the overview of traditional indoor coverage mode as well as theanalysis of its present disadvantages are provided. Lastly, this paper studies the newreconstructive scheme of indoor coverage system, which is based upon RRUequipment, and achieves its initial success.
