Optimization Of Radio Access Network For Xianning CDMA Mobile Network

Mobile communication network of China Telecom is based on CDMA (Code DivisionMultiple Access) technology. With the rapid development in recent years, Xianning TelecomCDMA moblie network has been basically achieved full coverage, and the number of users hasreached more than four-hundred thousands. Propagation of radio waves in the air naturally isaffected by internal and external environmental impacts in the entire network operating cycle,so inevitably various network problems exist. Such kind of problems can only be solved bywireless network optimization. Wireless network optimization is a long-term process，which runsthrough the entire process of network development，including planning, construction andmaintenance.This thesis describes the CDMAdevelopment history，key technologies and key parametersof CDMA devices at first. Then based on the current status of Xianning radio access network ofCDMA network, and the optimization practices previously done, the frequently apprearedproblems are investigated, and solutions for these problems are proposed. After the optimization,the radio access network resources of Xianning CDMA network are optimized, and the networkcould offer better service quality for subscribers.
