The Detection Systems For Fabric Density And Multi-Point Color Based On Digital Camera

With the development of science and technology, many jobs become more intelligent and automatic. Machine vision is a typical example. Digital camera collects images or video instead of human eyes, to detect and distinguish by image processing. In this thesis, two detection systems based on digital camera are proposed. One is utilized for fabric density detection. And the second is used for multi-point color detection.For detection of fabric density, we put forward a method to detect density with the information of fabric image. In this system, fabric image is obtained by the digital camera. Then the fabric image is processed by binaryzation method. Fabric yarns and intervals can be discriminated according to the color of pixels. And the number of warp yarns and weft yarns will be got. Fabric size is known in the correspondence between the pixels and the size. Finally fabric density can be easily computed. In the result small error may be produced, but it could be accepted.The detection system of multi-point color based1on digital camera contains digital camera, the first optic fiber, the second optic fiber, light source, probes and computer. The light from light source transmits to probe over the first optic fiber. Then the light arrives at the probe and is reflected by the object. The reflected light with the information of the object is captured by the digital camera. The object color can be obtained by the computer program since the digital camera is connected with computer. The detection of single probe is regarded single point detection. Digital camera can accept the image information from multiple probes.The programming platform of Lab VIEW is used in these detection systems. Strong development capability of Lab VIEW is greatly convenient to control digital camera and realize these detections.
