Motion capture is the process of measuring, tracking and recording the movement infomation of human or other objects. It has been widely used in many application field such as medical, sports, entertainment and robotics.3D morphing can transform particular part of source mesh into the target shape smoothly. It plays an important role in many application of computer vision and com-puter graphics such as3D animation and games.Motion capture and3D morphing are two of the hot-spots and cutting-edge tech-nologies in computer vision and computer graphics research field.This paper presents a novel marker-less mocap apporach from a single depth cam-era videp sequence, which overcomes the disadvantages of commercial system:too expensive and complex for amateur users. In order to avoid swarm collapse and ac-celerate convergence, a self-adaptive version of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is proposed to solve the pose recovery problem. This paper also introduces an efficient3D morphing method, which generates a merged model given a series of triangle mesh-es without increasing the number of vertices and facets. Besides, based on these two technologies, we developed an innovative video game to demonstrate their application.
