In recent years, the mobile phone industry is becoming extremely competitive, and mobile software system has been developed more and more complex which lengthen the development lifecycle, and all of these increase the risk of failing a mobile phone development project. It’s practical and meaningful to evaluate the mobile phone software quality and its development process, and to improve the chances of success of product development. Dissertation topics are based on a real project faced by authors, aiming to launch quality mobile phone product as fast as possible with different customers’ requirement. Software quality planning and assessment are the basis of software quality management, and the research on the mobile quality metrics is meaningful to mobile phone industry.The dissertation uses the methods of theoretical research and data verification, to propose an easy to use mobile software system quality metrics, based on the classic software quality metrics, mobile product release processes and agile software development model. The methods can be used to evaluate the phone software quality from different angles as needed. The main contents and significance of this Dissertation include:(1) The dissertation analyzes the mobile software system release process. Comprehensively describe the mobile phone product management, especially handsets customization processes, and the major milestones from R&D to production. This dissertation is a good guide to mobile phone research and development audience.(2) The dissertation proposes an effective software quality assessment method in widely used Agile software development model. The dissertation addresses the common issue of how to evaluate the software quality in Agile software development model and presents a practical solution.(3) The dissertation proposes a comprehensive easy-to-use software quality metrics, based on the realization of software requirement, and provides report to reflect software quality from different aspects. The software quality scores can be accumulated from many aspects and dimensions, which means the method is flexible.
