The radio mobile vehicles monitoring system plays a major in the locating of theinterference sources and it’s the main method to find interference sources.The locationmethod of the existing vehicles monitoring system is mainly linear and handles the systemerrors and subjective errors carelessly, the location accuracy is low and has a bad effect onfinding the actual interference sources. So we consider applying an estimation algorithm ofhigh reliability to locate the source of the signal. To solve this problem, the paper will usethe particle filter estimation method to orientate and locate the radio interference source, toestimate the position of the signal and to improve the location accuracy. The main work isas follows:First, it analyzes the orientation and position of the radio system and the principles andcharacteristics of various positioning methods, chooses the angle of arrival (AOA) locationalgorithm adapt to the project. It then establishes corresponding AOA mathematical modelabout static radio signal and determines the equations of state model and observation modeland lays a theoretical foundation for the following algorithm research.Second, it researches the basic particle filtering algorithm and principles based on theMonte-Carlo method. Then the method of sample processing of importance sampling isproposed when the algorithm applying in locating radio interference source. And animproved method is presented in order to solve particle degeneracy problem in thealgorithm. Then it deduces the algorithm process and makes preliminary simulation inMATLAB environment and proves possibility of the algorithm.Third, The positioning procedure and good man-machine interface are written based onthe LABVIEW platform, the reliability of the algorithm is verified by simulation examplesin different situations. Then the practical test data come from country radio monitoringcenter-Beijing monitoring station is validated in the built platform and the results and errorsare analyzed. The results show that the platform can locate static radio interference signaland the location time is short, positioning effect is good.
