The demands for electricity as well as the renewable energy sourcesare rising in modern society. Due to the rapid development of science andtechnology, the smart gird which makes fully use of the advancedelectronic communication technologies is designed to meet the socialdemands. With the deepening of the study of smart gird, many security andprivacy issues in communication among all the participants are exposed.It’s important to protect the users’ privacy while ensuring the normaloperation of the smart grid.In this paper, we analysis the security and privacy issues according tothe characteristics and the trends of the smart gird. We study the existedsolutions for privacy-preserving data aggregation in smart grid whichprotects the content of the metering data and then we raise novel ideas tosolve the problems by protecting the source of the data. Moreover, weestablish a system model and propose two privacy protection dataaggregation schemes which meet the four security requirements presented.The first scheme is based on group signature. In the scheme, userssubmit the measurements anonymously to hidden the source of themessages and the group signature is used to achieve anonymous messageauthentication. The security analysis shows that the scheme meets thesecurity requirements. Performance analysis shows it has littlecommunication overhead and reasonable computation overhead.The second scheme is based on homomorphic signature. We firstconstruct a blind signature scheme according to a basic homomorphicsignature scheme which is suitable for the system and then use it toachieve anonymous message authentication. Both the computation and communication overheads are reduced and it is more efficient.The two proposed schemes are based on different assumption andboth of them can solve the privacy problems of data aggregation in smartgrid.
