Design And Implementation Of Internet Traffic Analysis System Based On Netflow

With the continuous development of Internet technology, more and moreapplications are based on Internet. And the Internet traffic becomes increasinglycomplicated. Thus network operators are constantly exploring comprehensive,detailed network traffic analysis in order to optimize the NetFlow management andensure a scientific network planning and maintenance. Through the Netflowanalysis, the information about traffic composition, traffic source and traffic typeare obtained. Therefore, the research about the NetFlow analysis based on NetFlowtechnology is carried out in this thesis. The main research content is the analyzingand processing the NetFlow data providing by Cisco router.Firstly, this thesis introduces the research background, research objective, andresearch significance of this subject. And NetFlow analysis mathods home andabroad are studied and compared, at last the analysis method based on NetFlowtechnology is chosen to achieve the design of NetFlow analysis system. Then theNetflow technology is studied to be prepared for the design of this thesisSecondly, the in-depth needs analysis of actual work conditions andapplication development of network operators are conducted. By studing theInternet Protocal and the application and designing the hardware structure ofNetFlow analysis system, the software related to Internet Protocal and router areconfigured.Finally, based on the NetFlow data collection, the MySQL database is designedaccording to NetFlow data format. The expected functions of analyzing andprocessing the NetFlow data and presenting the results in the form of web pages arerealized.The results of this thesis in the light of NetFlow analysis would provide anaccurate support for network operators in NetFlow analysis and management.Futhermore, it would guarantee a correct orientation for network maintenance andplanning.
