The optoisolator is also known as optical isolators, is an optical non-reciprocaltransmission passive device.The device is used to eliminate or suppress the reverselight of the fiber channel generated. But due to the existence of such a reverse lightthe system will arise from the coupling effect of the laser in the optical path, makingthe laser work unstable and generating system reflection noise.The optical amplifieroptical fiber link will change and generate the stimulus, resulting in the entire opticalfiber communication system does not work.If the input or output of semiconductorlasers and optical amplifiers connected to the isolator, it can reduce the reflection oflight on the impact of LD. Therefore, the optical isolator is one of the essentialcomponents in a high-speed optical fiber communication systems,precision fiber opticsensors and other high-tech fields.Optical isolator has a vast market demand. With the rapid development of opticalfiber communication,optical fiber sensing technology,fiber optic CommunityAntenna Television(CATV), local area network(LAN), Fiber To The Home(FTTH),precision test system, the requirements of optical isolator are higher.This paper designs crystal_baseded free space optical isolator(FSI).This paperanalyses the principle of the birefringent crystal and the Faraday rotation effects,andstates the optical path principle of the Crystal_Based Free Space Isolator and thedesign of Faraday Rotator, TiO2crystals, the magnetic ring size,studys productionprocess technical parameters of Crystal_Based FSI. Through the scheme comparisonand test data shows,Crystal_Based FSI has the advantages of the low cost, easymanufacture and good optical parameters. In packaging technology, Crystal_BasedFSI is optical path gum process. The process has passed the test of the power500mW. Insertion loss and isolation of two performance parameters have achievedindustry-leading levels. The same time,the paper analysis cause of the Crystal_BasedFSI chipping during cutting and rotary piece cracking and provides solutions to thisproblem, which has important guiding significance in the production and research.
