Swimming as a vigorous and graceful exercise,which is loved by more and morepeople. However, frequent drowning accidents in swimming pools often threaten thesafety of swimmers. Most of the swimming pools choose to configurationprofessional rescue personnel. But swimming places more crowded, lifeguards alwayscould not find the anomalies of swimmer because of visual fatigue or keep out the lineof sight which lead to tragedy. So a reliable, intelligent and accurate underwater videomonitor system need to be designed to ensure the safety of swimmers.Underwater video surveillance system is real-time monitoring of the swimmer,therefore moving target detection,video real-time collection, transmission anddisplay are the key content of the monitoring system. In order to achieve the accuratemonitoring, real-time transmission of video monitoring system, this paper mainly dothe following work and research:1) First, making image preprocessing and completing video image de-noising. Inview of noise produced by light signal into electrical signal in video acquisitionprocess, the paper propose to use the Gaussian low-pass filter for imagede-noising; for the noise caused by water wave, bubble that exist in theunderwater environment, the paper adopt adaptive wavelet combining adaptivethreshold selection with adaptive output of the threshold function for the imagede-noising.2) In order to accurately and quickly detect targets, the paper proposes a methodbased on the combined GMM and watershed segmentation algorithm for targetdetection. Making compared between the algorithm and other commonly usedmoving object detection algorithm through the experiment. Results show that thealgorithm could effectively detect targets and effectively suppress interferencesuch as underwater light spot, air bubble and shadow.3) Completed the software design of the underwater video monitoring system onTMS320DM6437platform. The design of software mainly completed softwaresystem architecture design, video driver module design, network design. Finally,puts forward the improvement and optimization scheme for the whole system.4) Completed implementation of the underwater video monitoring system onTMS320DM6437platform. First, completes the design of the overall scheme of monitoring and control system. Then make the image preprocessing algorithmrealize on TMS320DM6437platform, through experiments to verify theeffectiveness of the algorithm on TMS320DM6437platform. Finally, Design theimplementation of target detection algorithm based on GMM and watershedsegmentation algorithm.
