Underwater plasma sound sources are broadband controllable with high sound intensity,which can produce higher source level than traditional transducer. The sources also haveremarkable characteristics with small volume, wide range of frequency response, high sourcelevel, high electro-acoustic transformation efficiency, adjustable emitting modes andprogrammable control. Several sources focusing emission can enhance signal strength. As anew efficient underwater sound source, it can be used for interfering, suppressing anddestroying enemy’s sonar and torpedo. Based on the underwater plasma sound source, thedissertation researches on new methods and new schemes for applications, including threeaspects as follows:I) Simulations of multi-source confocal with time control. Gathering confocal emissioncan improve source level. The dissertation studies on parameters which can effect on focusingperformance, including confocal range, source array type, time delay control precision andetc.II) Simulations of target detection with underwater plasma sound source. Thedissertation studies the performance of target detection with underwater plasma sound source,and the main factors of positioning accuracy by processing signals of flank array and ringarray.III) Development of controllable charging and discharging system. The dissertation hasdeveloped a system of controlling and showing charging, discharging and triggering states,which lays the foundation of it becoming underwater confrontation equipments.The dissertation dedicates to studying several technologies about underwater plasmasound sources in underwater acoustic confrontation, and the studies can supply reference forengineering application.
